(Marietta)—Republican physician and 30 year Cobb resident Dr. Kay Kirkpatrick announced Monday that she will run for State Senate district 32 to fill the vacancy left by incumbent Senator Judson Hill. Hill has announced that he will seek the open congressional seat currently held by Congressman Tom Price, who has been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
“One of the leading issues facing our country is repealing Obamacare and bringing competition back into the health care business to reduce costs. As our next State Senator I will support Congressman Tom Price’s efforts to dismantle and repeal Obamacare,” said Dr. Kirkpatrick. “As a physician, I am uniquely qualified to help ensure that patient-doctor privacy is protected and that the quality of care improves.”
“As our next State Senator I also will work to prevent tax increases,” said Dr. Kirkpatrick. “Americans pay too much in taxes already and we need continued leadership on fiscal issues facing Georgians.”
