The Georgia Orthopaedic Society Foundation IDEA Grant
aims to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives
within the specialty of orthopaedics. The program is a significant
initiative to inspire real change increasing diversity in the field of
orthopaedics.
IDEA stands for inspiring diversity, equity, and access.
To
this end, the foundation wishes to offer the opportunity for two
medical students interested in the field of orthopedic surgery to attend
the annual meeting of the Georgia Orthopaedic Society to be held at the
Cloister resort on Sea Island, Georgia September 26–28, 2024.
We seek students to apply for the grant to attend the meeting and be inspired to join us in these goals.
Grant
recipients will receive complimentary lodging for 3 nights at The Inn
at Sea Island (September 26-28, 2024 - Thursday, Friday, Saturday
night); registration for the 2024 GOS Annual Meeting, a meal allowance,

reimbursement for the travel. They will be paired with two GOS members
as their mentors during the meeting.
